Subaru automakers aren’t always ones to make a huge statement for the sake of attention. Instead, they tend to offer more subtle changes that span every area of a vehicle. You won’t always find that a new model has a completely new look or that it’s gotten a massive update to its engine and powertrain. What you will often find are smaller, more carefully thought out improvements across every aspect of the vehicle to give you, the driver, a better experience than ever before. And that’s the case with the upcoming 2018 Subaru Outback.
The current 2017 Subaru Outback is the best-selling Subaru model, and it’s not hard to see why. The major changes to the new model include a new grille, headlights, front and rear bumpers, and door mirrors. New acoustic front glass will further cut down on interior noise and new safety technology automatically locks the doors above 12.5 mph and unlocks them when the airbags deploy.
Inside, a new larger 6.5-inch touchscreen takes the place of the current smaller 6.2-inch one and an 8-inch screen is optional. In addition to the larger screen, improvements have been made to reduce the screen’s response time, improve voice recognition technology, and more apps have been added to the system. The backseat now accommodates two USB ports so that you can charge your phone easily while still having access to it if you’re not in the front. Materials have been upgraded to give a more luxurious feel and higher trim levels of the vehicle even include stitched cabin features. One of our favorite updates here at your Fort Myers, FL Subaru dealership is the addition of adaptive headlights which swivel when you round a bend to give you better sight lines.
We’re excited here at O’Brien Subaru of Fort Myers about the upcoming 2018 Subaru Outback and can’t wait to make it available to our Fort Myers and greater Naples, FL area Subaru drivers. In the meantime, head on down to 2850 Colonial Blvd today for all your Subaru related needs.
