Subaru automakers made an announcement earlier this week that made us, your Ft. Myers and Naples,FL area Subaru dealership, and our Subaru fans happy.

The new 2017 Subaru Outback and 2017 Subaru Legacy are adding something major that the 2016 Subaru Outback and 2016 Subaru Legacy didn’t have. The two vehicles are getting new trims that we didn’t previously have. The Subaru Outback is a delightful crossover/wagon vehicle that is sure to benefit from a touring trim, allowing drivers to travel further off the beaten path than ever before. Likewise, in the Subaru Legacy, which is a midsize sedan, the addition of a sport trim is sure to entice buyers with an option for a little pep in their car without going crazy on optional packages.

In terms of the 2017 Subaru Outback Touring trim, the wagon gets a new range topper here. And it’s available in both the four- and six-cylinder options. On the outside, the Outback Touring boasts a set of 18-inch wheels that sport dark grey accents. These dark grey wheels are accompanied by a dark grey grille, low-profile roof rails, and chrome Outback badging. Inside, you can choose a new perforated leather upholstery option that comes in a luxurious Java Brown color. Also included is a heated steering wheel, ivory contrast stitching, and a woodgrain interior finish.

In the other camp is the 2017 Subaru Legacy Sport, which serves as the next step up from the base model Legacy. In terms of visual differences, it sets itself apart with a dark grey grille, glossy black fog lamp housings, chrome accents which come on the rocker trim, silver side-mirror finishes, and of course, 18-inch wheels. There’s also the Subaru Starlink infotainment system which includes a nice seven-inch touchscreen, automatic braking feature, and high beam assist within the EyeSight safety Suite.

Here at O’Brien Subaru Ft. Myers, we love all of our new Subaru models, and we can’t wait to show off what’s next. So stop on by our Subaru dealership serving Naples for any of your needs today.
