The Subaru brand showed off the highly anticipated new 2018 Subaru Outback at the New York Auto Show, and there are plenty of amazing features to this refreshed flagship vehicle that we’re excited about here at O’Brien Subaru of Fort Myers. Our dealers want to highlight a few the upcoming features that we know Subaru Outback fans will be excited to see.
The first thing you’ll notice when looking at the new 2018 Subaru Outback compared with the 2017 Subaru Outback is the revised styling. The new model features wider and lower grille openings and a new bumper. The headlights are also redesigned and feature daytime LED running lights to improve vehicle visibility. A redesigned front cladding provides better protection from mud and rocks, which is a nice feature for those who take their Subaru Outback off the road. Our favorite feature to the exterior is the option for the new steering-responsive headlights which light up corners as drivers steer around them.
Inside, the automaker has used premium materials to give the vehicle more of an upscale feel to it. Additionally, an available 8-inch infotainment screen offers connectivity features like Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, and Nuance voice recognition. Also new for the 2018 model year, the rearview camera now includes guidelines on the screen that move in sync with your steering to help you best position your vehicle when backing up or parking.
As far as ride quality goes, the new 2018 Subaru Outback will be better than ever. Subaru engineers have made upgrades to the chassis that now include better-tuned suspension dampers. These, along with improved electric power steering, give you a smoother drive.
While the 2018 Subaru Outback isn’t out just yet, those looking for a new Subaru will still have plenty of great options here at O’Brien Subaru of Fort Myers. Head on down today for all of your Subaru vehicle needs.
