When it comes to new and used Subaru inventory, our staff at O’Brien Subaru Ft. Myers is always looking for the next big thing. With so many 2015 model year vehicles hitting our showroom, it’s usually not too hard to find just that.
Today, however, the next big thing for the Subaru brand is even easier to spot. That’s because the automaker is celebrating its biggest May sales achivement ever thanks to sales of 44,170 units, accounting for an 11-percent increase over May 2013.
Leading the brand in sales growth were the Subaru STI and Subaru WRX models. Naples drivers are encouraged to join us as we celebrate these models in their climb to a total of 2,957 units for a year-over-year sales increase of 62 percent. Also seeing great leaps over 2013 sales was the Subaru Forester, which enjoyed total sales of 14,146 units for a total increase of 41 percent over May 2013. The Subaru STI, Subaru WRX and Subaru Forester all enjoyed their best month of sales ever in May as well.
Year-to-date sales of the Subaru Forester are also up 51 percent over the same period in 2013. Year-to-dates sales for the brand as a whole are no less impressive, totaling at 196,641 units for a 19-percent increase over January through May of 2013. Finally, May marked the third month in a row that Subaru has surpassed 40,000 unit sales and the 10th consecutive month that the Subaru Forester has surpassed 10,000 unit sales.
All of these accomplishments combined to give the Subaru brand its 30th consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases. The automaker is well on its way to reaching its sixth consecutive year of achieving record annual sales. Join us as we continue to move forward!
