Both the 2018 Subaru WRX and the glasgow life creative writing got redesigns for the 2018 model year. While those designs are great and help usher in a new generation of Subaru models, there was one question that we’re sure a lot of our Subaru fans in Orlando, FL had. That question being how would the safety of these vehicles fair? Luckily, both the Subaru WRX and the Subaru Crosstrek fair quite well.

When equipped with the optional front prevention feature, both Subaru models qualify for the top award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). That award is, of course, the Top Safety Pick+ award.

In addition to earning the “Good” rating in all crashworthiness tests, it earned a “Superior” rating when it comes to front crash protection. It should be noted that “Good” is the highest rating for crashworthiness and a superior rating for front crash protection isn’t handed out easily.

These ratings are related to models that are equipped with the Subaru EyeSight feature, a feature we recommend for every Subaru model purchased in the greater Orlando, FL area.

The 2018 Subaru WRX is awarded the Top Safety Pick+ rating mainly for its improved headlights over the 2017 model. It should be noted here that the rating applies only to the LED lights on the Limited trim with high-beam assist.

“Subaru is committed to developing the highest safety standards for our vehicles,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “Receiving the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award for all our 2018 models equipped with EyeSight and LED SteeringResponsive Headlights proves this commitment to our customers.”
