New owners of the 2015 Subaru Impreza have helped the brand achieve a truly remarkable level of donations through its annual “Share the Love” event: $15 million. That means that the brand has contributed $50 million to this remarkable cause over the past seven years.
Every year, the Subaru “Share the Love” event includes $250 donations from the brand for each new Subaru vehicle sold or leased. Charities are selected by the new vehicle owner or lessee, and in the 2014 event, customers had the option of four national charities:
- National Park Foundation
- Meals on Wheels America®
Additionally, each brand retailer chose a local charity to receive support, which accounted for more than 600 local charities throughout the country.
Previously, the manufacturer made $5 million contributions during each event, but with increase in brand sales in recent years, the automaker has raised the donation amount to $15 million this year.
