If you’re looking for a new 2015 Subaru vehicle, you may find that it’s hard to decide between the st john university creative writing and the 2015 Subaru Outback. After all, they’re both efficient compact SUVs, they both seat five passengers, and both come equipped with a standard V4 engine with all-wheel drive. So what separates these two off-road hatchbacks? Let’s detail some of the bigger differences so you can find the one that suits your needs.

Exterior

At first glance both the Forester and the Outback may look pretty similar but their exterior styling is quite different from one another. The 2015 Subaru Outback takes its cues from the Subaru Legacy, which is a sedan, making the 2015 Outback more of a station wagon. On the other end, the 2015 Subaru Forester is a true blue crossover SUV, no matter what color you get it in. Upon further inspection, you’ll also notice that the 2015 Forester is the larger of the two, but the station wagon-like Outback can accommodate  plenty of cargo still, as it stands just 6 inches short of the Forester.

Interior

The Subaru Forester has a more recently updated design than the Subaru Outback, but on the inside the Outback still sports a more modern cabin. It has a rounded, silvery control module which boasts an updated look to the black plastic console inside the Forester. In addition, the 2015 Forester has the option to add an infotainment screen, while the 2015 Outback comes standard with a center-mounted one. Despite differences in the size of the two vehicles, interior dimensions are fairly similar here. Both the Forester and the Outback offer plenty of room for both passengers and storage, and each ride offers plenty of comfort.

Mechanics

As far as the engines go, the two models start at roughly the same point but quickly take two different paths. The Forester and Outback both come standard with a 2.5-liter boxer V4 engine that puts out 170 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. However, optional upgrades turn the Forester into turbocharged V4 that produces 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque; the Outback then gets a larger 3.6-liter V6 engine that achieves 256 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque.

Like most things in life, it comes down to mostly preference when choosing between the Outback and the Forester. At O’Brien Subaru Ft. Myers we love everything that both these vehicles have to offer. If you’re looking for a more powerful engine, then the Outback may be the way to go, but if you’re looking for something with a little more room, check out the Forester. But don’t just take our word for it, come to our dealership serving the Naples area to take them for a test drive.
