At O’Brien Subaru of Ft. Myers, we know that the drivers we serve stand by us when we say that looks aren’t everything. Sure, looks will help you catch an eye or two on Bonita Springs roads (and both new and used Subaru models will accomplish just that!), but looks are nothing if you don’t have the performance to back them up. (Don’t worry – that’s something else our vehicles will accomplish as well!)
Take for instance the look of a familiar face. Maybe you’ve heard of action sports star Travis Pastrana, but just one look at the celebrity’s past fame doesn’t tell you everything about his current ability to perform. Fortunately, Pastrana returned to rally racing after a three-year break to join Subaru Rally Team USA in the 2014 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood and show everyone what he is still capable of!
The rally is named after the storybook home of beloved animal Winnie the Pooh but is actually held in the foothills of Missouri’s Ozark Mountains. The course is round two in the eight-event Rally America Championship and features high speeds over the smooth gravel roads preferred by many rally drivers.
In the end, Pastrana and company exceeded expectations, earning a second-place finish at the event. Our staff at O’Brien Subaru of Ft. Myers is thrilled to see the former four-time Rally America Champion return to a top spot in his 2014 racing season. Join us as we continue to cheer on Pastrana and the Subaru Rally Team USA in their future events, including the Oregon Trail Rally May 2-4 in Portland, Ore.
