Typically when we talk about a campaign for Love, we’re probably referring to Valentine’s Day or – and this is a stretch – Sweetest Day (remember? That hazy Saturday celebration in mid-October?). But here we are in late November talking about Love.
That’s because it’s the time of year when Subaru introduces its annual “Share the Love” event with college homework help app and dealers everywhere as well as a Facebook campaign. In order to share the love, Subaru will donate $250 per new Subaru sold or leased between Nov. 19, 2011, and Jan. 3, 2012 – totaling as high as $5 million. On top of those donations, the automaker will also give $250,000 to charities that receive the most community votes on Facebook.
Since this program kicked off, Subaru’s total donations to charitable causes to date equal nearly $15 million. In its fourth year the program will be contributing to American Forests, the ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish Foundation®, Meals On Wheels Association of America and Special Olympics.
The oldest nonprofit conservation effort in the country, American Forests is dedicated to the restoration and protection of rural and urban forests throughout the world. http://fieldscdjrblog.com/creative-writing-holiday-program/ drivers can help furry friends through the ASPCA’s animal abuse rescue mission and commitment to passing humane laws for the prevention of animal cruelty.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation listens to and answers the wishes of children facing life-threatening medical conditions. It’s easy to share love with charities like that, and Meals on Wheels Association of America, which is devoted to ending senior hunger through providing home-delivered meals to the hungry. Finally, Special Olympics is a recreational outlet for children and adults with intellectual disabilities to participate in sports and athletics.
But the love-sharing doesn’t stop there. Ft. Myers Subaru Forester drivers and all Subaru fans are invited to visit the Subaru of America Facebook page, where they can contribute to any of the charities listed by checking out Subaru’s “Share the Love Charities” tab. Here, visitors can vote for one of the five charities and make a $1 donation from Subaru with just a click. Visitors can keep on sharing the love as well by sharing their donation with Facebook friends. This option also displays the percentage of votes that their charity has received.
