how does application letter writtenThe Chicago Auto Show is a big one for us car lovers here in America. During the show, we’ll get to see upcoming models and concepts that will paint a picture of what we can expect from our favorite automakers in the year to come. While big SUVs, fancy crossovers, and luxury sports cars often take the spotlight, this year our favorite is one many may not expect: the 2018 Subaru Legacy.
Here at O’Brien Subaru of Fort Myers, we’re proud to offer our Florida Subaru drivers with some of the most well-built vehicles ever made like the 2017 Subaru Outback and the newly minted 2017 Subaru Impreza. And soon, we’ll be able to bring you the new 2018 Subaru Legacy as well.
The updates to the new model are pretty substantial as this is a mid-cycle update and aim to improve upon what already works well with this midsize sedan. In addition to a new exterior style, the interior gets premium quality upgrades, as well as technological improvements.
It’s looking like the engine powering the new model will be the same as the 2017 Subaru Legacy model. A 2.5-liter flat four-cylinder putting out 175 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque is standard, while a 3.6-liter flat six-cylinder engine putting out 256 horsepower is optional. The tried and true continuously variable transmission (CVT) symmetric AWD system gets updated along with improved torque vectoring and power steering for better handling and response as well.
On the outside, the vehicle’s looks get a noticeable refresh including revised C-shaped LED daytime running lights, a wider, lower grille, and a wider rear fascia to give the car a sporty look. No longer is the Subaru Legacy a quiet looking sedan, now it’s got some sport to it.
Other big changes include an updated 8-inch infotainment screen which supports the Subaru StarLink system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
As your Fort Myers and greater Cape Coral, FL Subaru dealer, we’ll keep you updated on new information on this model and all others.
