Our creative writing exercises for 11 plus is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of each of our customers every day. We feel that supporting our customers throughout their experience as a vehicle owner creates a special relationship, and we are proud to represent an automaker that is dedicated to going the extra mile for every single customer whether they’re traveling down the highway or the twisting and turning road of life.
That’s why we were delighted to learn that the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Snowbird, Utah, was the scene of more than just the Subaru WinterFest event this year. There, Subaru of America, Inc., joined Make-A-Wish® Utah in bringing to life the wish of 11-year-old Derek, who was diagnosed with liver failure. A lifelong adventurer and sports fanatic, Derek’s wish was to go fishing in Alaska, and the Subaru brand was proud to join Make-A-Wish in helping Derek realize his dream.
Derek learned that he and his family will travel to Alaska this spring to fish for salmon during a surprise ceremony at the Subaru WinterFest event, where clues to his upcoming adventure popped up throughout Snowbird Village. Derek and his family also enjoyed a weekend of skiing at Snowbird, where they had the chance to participate in a private ski lesson and a relaxing resort weekend provided by the Subaru brand.
Subaru WinterFest is a lifestyle expo held at 14 of the top mountains and ski resorts in the country during the 2014-2015 ski season. Attendees may take part in free ski and snowboard demos and lessons as well as interactive experiences.
In the last four years as a supporter of Make-A-Wish, Subaru of America, Inc., has donated more than $4.5 million and assisted in making more than 610 wishes come true. Following this weekend’s airing of “World of Adventure” on NBC featuring Derek and his family, we encourage ganga's creative writing corner drivers to show their support by checking out @subaru_USA, @makeawishutah and the hashtag #subarusnow.
