When your business is the auto industry, you know that every vehicle matters. That’s why every purchase we see at O’Brien Subaru is something to celebrate.
But we’re happy to report that there is a very special number on the table for the Subaru family right now. Recently, Subaru of America, Inc., announced the sale of its six millionth vehicle domestically. While every purchase, from a Subaru Impreza to a Subaru Forester for Ft. Myers drivers, is something to cheer for, it was ultimately a 2013 XV Crosstrek purchased in Georgetown, Texas, that got Subaru to the big six million number.
At this incredible milestone, Subaru celebrates the additional achievement of selling vehicles at a faster rate than ever before. Historically, Subaru celebrated its one millionth sale after 16 years in business, while the brand anticipates selling its next million within three years.
Subaru remains the industry’s only automaker to achieve five consecutive years of sales growth between 2008 and 2012, as well as breaking its own annual sales records over the past four years. In fact, our brand shattered its 2011 annual sales record in just October of this year, leaving two remaining months to set a new one.
While six million U.S. vehicle sales is an incredibly important achievement, we at O’Brien Subaru consider it a great starting point for the coming year. As we head into 2013, we’ll be strengthening our goals and our sales force, setting up our team for another year of success!
But this celebration is more than just number-heavy. It also exemplifies the growing strength of the Subaru brand in the minds of consumers throughout the country. If you haven’t discovered why it’s important to join our growing family of drivers, stop in for a test drive and let us celebrate your new vehicle!
