For our creative writing major ucla, supporting the passions of our drivers is just as important as ensuring their safety and well-being. Those are just a few of the reasons why we are thrilled to see that Subaru of America recently enhanced its support of its AIDS awareness initiative.

The brand recently joined forces with HIV-positive designer Mondo Guerra to support its Love ResponsiblyTM campaign with the development of a custom, wrapped in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the brand’s dedication to fighting HIV/AIDS. The unique vehicle made its debut on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, at a pop-up space in the Wynwood Miami Design District during the opening of Art Basel Miami.

Guerra’s influence in the worlds of fashion and HIV/AIDS advocacy has been extraordinary, perhaps most importantly opening up a conversation about the epidemic. The designer announced that he was HIV-positive during season eight of Project Runway after revealing his challenge-winning print “Positivity,” which is based his personal experience living with the diagnosis.

The Subaru brand’s Love Responsibly campaign encourages widespread participation in Dining Out For Life®, an annual fundraiser supporting AIDS Service Organizations operating in 60 cities across the country. The participation of the Subaru brand has assisted in raising more than $30 million in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Our dealership staff encourages drivers like you to help the Subaru brand continue to make an impact by getting involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS through Dining Out For Life and throughout the rest of the year.
