At our creative writing network in Ft. Myers, we can’t help feeling that all signs are pointing up. That’s because all last year we enjoyed the fantastic opportunity to watch our brand sales go up, up, up!
The Subaru brand achieved a remarkable milestone in 2014, recording 500,000 unit sales throughout the year – a first for the automaker. Best of all, the outstanding sales growth can be attributed to all models in the portfolio in addition to highly targeted, award-winning marketing initiatives.
With a new all-time sales record of 513,693 units under its belt, the Subaru brand is also looking back on 2014 as a year that ended with its best December sales ever and the achievement of six consecutive years of annual sales records. December 2014 sales totaled 49,923 units for a year-over-year increase of 24 percent while sales for the year marked a 21-percent increase over 2013. Phenomenal sales figures for the year also amounted to 37 months of month-over-month sales growth.
Finally, December 2014 helped the following models earn sales records of their own:
- Last month saw the best December ever for the Subaru Outback, Subaru Forester, Subaru XV Crosstrek, Subaru WRX and Subaru Legacy
- The Subaru Outback enjoyed its best sales month ever as well
- December was also the 10th consecutive month that saw more than 10,000 unit sales for the Subaru Outback and the 17th consecutive month that the Subaru Forester enjoyed the same accomplishment
Back in 2008, Subaru sales in the United States totaled 187,699 units while the brand closed out 2014 with over 500,000 unit sales. As we look ahead to 2015, we hope that you will consider joining us in our efforts to make the upcoming year even more successful!
