The New York Auto Show is being primed to host a slew of new vehicles, concepts, and everything in between. But luckily for us Subaru fans at creative writing about childhood, your friendly neighborhood Ft. Myers and Naples Subaru dealership, we’ve gotten a sneak peak of the new 2017 Subaru Impreza.
The current 2016 Subaru Impreza is no doubt an impressive vehicle that sits in the middle of the spectrum of the Subaru lineup. It’s not quite as performance-focused as the 2016 Subaru WRX or BRZ. Likewise, it’s not the off-roading Forester or Outback hatchbacks either. The Impreza instead offers drivers with a safe, reliable sedan that embodies the Subaru lifestyle in its own way.
And with the recent teaser image we’ve been able to see, it seems, that the new Impreza will take an evolutionary step forward. The image shows a headlight and part of the front grille while shadow shrouds the rest of front fascia in mystery.
The styling involves major changes that go beyond the vehicle being built on the new Subaru Global Platform. The lines are angled and chiseled. The angling light and low sloping hood give the vehicle the look of predatory cat in the jungle, waiting to pounce on its prey.
The teaser image definitely does its job and makes us yearn to see more at the New York Auto Show next month. It also makes us excited to see the new direction that the automaker is headed. Subaru has a design style that befits the outdoorsy adventurer and the track inspired racer. We think that the new Impreza may be the beginning of another new look that gives the brand a bit more edge.
